The Climate Resilient Model Village (CREMOV) Project, building on the positive results of SECAP, aims to enhance the livelihood adaptive capacity of rural smallholder farmers living in poverty, helping them cope with climate risks. This initiative aspires for Jafurnga and Ngali to evolve into climate-resilient villages that will serve as models for replication. These model villages will embody sustainable agricultural intensification, livelihood diversification, and the conservation of the environment and biodiversity as standard practices.

The project targets 75 households, 577 direct beneficiaries (52% females) and 2,310 indirect beneficiaries (52% females). Overall, the project will benefit 2,887 people.

The project started in October 2024 and will run for 30 months up to April 2027. Key initiatives include community awareness and collective action, institutional and technical capacity building and advocacy and knowledge management.
